Applicants to UK universities must apply through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS), which is a centralized body for admissions and placements. Students who are accepted by UCAS can apply to five different courses at universities specified by UCAS after getting their acceptance letter. This is a place where they can exercise their freedom of choice. For instance, they can apply to five different universities for the same course or five different courses at the same university. The application period for Indian students begins on 1st September and ends on 30th June in the year preceding the academic year in which they wish to enroll. Applicants are required to submit applications before mid-October of the preceding year for some courses.

The application process for master’s degrees is not centralized like that for undergraduate programs. Students must apply separately to each university. Admission forms can be obtained from the websites of the respective universities. The majority of Masters’s programs in the UK begin in September. There may, however, be multiple start dates available at some UK universities.

For Indian students, the application deadlines are typically earlier than for students from the UK, EU, and EEA (European Economic Area).
