IELTS Listening:

Improve your listening skills
Your listening skills will be tested in the IELTS Listening div. Taking practice tests isn’t enough to improve your score! In addition to helping you prepare for the test, this will help you improve your listening skills. Doing listening exercises, listening to general materials (radio reports, TV shows, documentaries, etc.), and then taking IELTS practice tests are the best ways to prepare for IELTS Listening.

Develop a stronger vocabulary for your topic
Be sure to learn all the vocabulary related to university studies. Understanding this div will be easier if you do so.

Make sure answers are correctly transferred
Your answers must be transferred into the answer sheet within 10 minutes of finishing the listening test. There is a common misconception about numeration among students! When you are writing down your answers, make sure they are in the right numbered spaces. Simply put, the answer to question 7 should be placed in space number 7.

All questions must be answered! Fill in all the blanks!
Incorrect answers are not penalized, so even if you don’t know the answer, write something in the answers box. Try to guess the answer to the question again!

IELTS Speaking:

To prepare for your test, speak English with your family, friends, and classmates. Check your pronunciation after you have recorded yourself to see if it needs improvement.

Answering your tests correctly or incorrectly shouldn’t be a problem. In order to receive a good grade, you must be able to express your opinions clearly and effectively in English.

Speaking should not be slowed down or accelerated. Whenever possible, you should speak naturally, just like you would at home. When speaking quickly, it is possible to make pronunciation mistakes.

When answering a question, make sure the verb tenses are correct. In an interview, if you are asked ‘What kind of music do you like? ’ (present tense), do not answer in the past tense.

If you are not comfortable using complicated words, don’t use them. Keep it casual and simple. Yes, it will be advantageous if you can use advanced vocabulary.

If you are answering a question, try to provide reasons for your answer. The use of a broader vocabulary and grammar range is enhanced as a result.

IELTS Reading:

Answers can be found by skimming over
By skimming, we mean looking only at the main points. Reading every word attentively is not required. Don’t forget, you just have to answer the questions. Then start looking for answers by skimming over the text.

Watch your time
Keep in mind that you have only 60 minutes to read three texts and answer 40 questions. Make sure you manage your time well when filling out your answer sheet, since you won’t be given additional time for it.

Is your spelling correct?
Make sure your answer is spelled correctly before writing it on the answer blank. The answer will be worth zero points if it is incorrectly spelled.

Underline!
Underline the most important phrases as you skim the text. By using it, you can save some time when searching for answers.

Unfamiliar vocabulary? That’s OK!
You don’t need to worry if you don’t understand the text or some words. You won’t need any additional knowledge to succeed, because all the answers are in the text.
